Yoga and Fitness Classes

We are pleased to offer a variety of classes for adults (teens may take cardio karate) which develop core strength, flexibility, well-being and self-confidence. Classes are available morning, afternoons and evenings with drop in rates and class cards with discounts. A “Universal Class Card” allows you take any of our fitness classes.  We also offer a “Yoga” only class card.  Please inquire at school for details.

 “Best Body EverLow-impact core strengthening program which develops a lean and sculpted body with quick results. Taught by Stefanie Pennachio, a professional trainer with over 16 years experience.  Please bring a yoga mat to class. Private Training and Fitness Evaluations available by appointment.  For Adults only.

“Cardio Karate”   Teens/Adults: Work up a sweat, have fun and burn calories as you learn correct kicks, punches and self-defense techniques.  Taught by experienced kick-boxing instructors with Sensei Mitch Cooperman, 5th Degree Black Belt. Workout equipment will be available at the school for use/purchase.  Cardio Karate is Free to all Teens/Adults enrolled in our Karate Classes.

 “YOGA” at Shidokan Karate is tranquil and nurturing for the beginner and experienced adult student. Taught by certified instructors, Sharon Javer and Lorin O’Neal, students will receive correct alignment and personal attention.  Please bring a yoga mat to class.

 

Friday   9:15 - 10:15 am taught by Sharon Javer, this hour long class features a practice that focuses on body alignment and incorporates a vinyasa/flowing style of movement.

 

Sunday 9:30 - 11:00 pm taught by Lorin O’Neal, this class is a traditional Hatha Yoga practice (holding poses), guided by the breath, featuring a 15” extended savasana (relaxation period). Blankets and bolsters will be provided.

 

“Goddess Fitness” This is a “must try” for women. The class is fun, empowering and a workout, all in one - set to great music.  Lorin’s combo of belly dance moves, abdominal sculpting and yoga.  No experience necessary!! Bring your own coin scarf (if you have) to class.  Scarves will be available for purchase at the school.

Saturdays at 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
